History of Rose and Company

Rose and Company was one of Britain’s first specialist wholesalers in the caravan, motor home, park home, commercial vehicle, boat and leisure industries.

We were established sixty years ago by John Rose, with his father’s assistance against the backdrop of austere post-war Britain, and were therefore in the vanguard of realising the nation’s dream of shaking off wartime austerity and making more of precious leisure time.

Our first location was Blundells corner in Hull, now the Hull Daily Mail site.

Even though so much has changed since then, one thing has remained constant – our ability to move with the changing times. Through every decade we have kept abreast of developments in the industries we supply, continuing to sources the very latest in everything from roof lights to leveller wedges; windows to cycle carriers, and everything in between.

We’ve proud of the depth of our product range. As well as cabinet fittings, hardware and general ironmongery, we also offer the Omnistor product range including awnings, top boxes, bike racks and omnivents.

Our stocks of Dometic, Seitz, Comet, and Smev ranges and have introduced Telair, Teleco Air Conditioners and TV Antennas and a range of 12v Lighting from Frilight. These ranges are extensively used in the current production of caravans, motor homes and boats.

Everything we do is backed by our awareness and desire for higher standards of product and service. Our aim has always been to exceed customer expectations through continuous improvement based on constant reappraisal of our product range and operating standards.
